Gears of War: E-Day reached its worldwide launch on October 6, according to Xbox Wire. The game is available for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC, including Steam. Microsoft also confirms launch-day access through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

The prequel follows Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago during the Locust invasion, 14 years before the original game. Xbox’s launch guide describes a campaign built around taking cover, with optional side objectives alongside the main story. Horde Siege and competitive multiplayer provide additional ways to play.

Console players can use two-player split-screen, while online campaign co-op supports up to four players. Console online multiplayer requires an eligible subscription. Premium Edition early access began October 1; October 6 marks the broader release.
