World Cup Tasters Championship joins Bogotá’s 2027 coffee stage
The sensory competition will join the World Brewers Cup at World of Coffee Bogotá from September 30 through October 2, 2027.

The Specialty Coffee Association has added the 2027 World Cup Tasters Championship to World of Coffee Bogotá. The event is scheduled for September 30 through October 2, 2027, and will now host two World Coffee Championships: Cup Tasters and the previously announced World Brewers Cup. [1] [2]
Cup Tasters rewards speed and sensory accuracy. Competitors examine triangular sets of cups and identify the one coffee that differs from the other two. The Brewers Cup puts a different skill set onstage, asking competitors to prepare and present manual filter coffee. National and regional Competition Body champions are expected to represent their communities in Bogotá. [1]
World of Coffee Bogotá is being presented through the SCA’s partnership with the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation, known in Spanish as the Federación Nacional de Cafeteros de Colombia. The broader trade show is intended for exhibitors, sponsors, competitors, and attendees across the specialty-coffee value chain, pairing competition with commerce, education, and professional exchange. The Bogotá event and Brewers Cup were first announced in October 2025. The new Cup Tasters announcement expands the competition program, but practical details—including competitor information and participation opportunities—remain pending. The event is more than eleven months away, so dates and program details should be checked again before travel planning. [1] [2]
